چکیده

Effective connectivity (EC) among functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) signals is a quantitative measure of the strength influence between brain activity associated with different regions brain. Evidently, accurate deciphering EC gives further insight into understanding intricately complex nature neuronal interactions in human This article presents novel approach to estimate using enhanced fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs). The proposed method regularized methodology FCMs, called effective FCMs (E-FCMs), improved accuracy for predicting real and synthetic fNIRS signals. Essentially, revisions made FCM include more powerful prediction formula combined independent tuning transformation function parameter. A comparison obtained from E-FCM that standard FCM, general linear model (GLM) parameters power dynamic causal modeling (DCM), Granger causality (GC) manifests greater prowess over aforementioned methods. For data, an empirical investigation also gain role oxyhemoglobin deoxy-hemoglobin (oxy-Hb, deoxy-Hb) representing activity. We believe this has profound implications neuroergonomics research communities.

Detection of schizophrenia patients using convolutional neural networks from brain effective connectivity maps of electroencephalogram signals

Background: Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that severely affects the perception and relations of individuals. Nowadays, this disease is diagnosed by psychiatrists based on psychiatric tests, which is highly dependent on their experience and knowledge. This study aimed to design a fully automated framework for the diagnosis of schizophrenia from electroencephalogram signals using advanced de...

A Solution for Effective Teaching using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (COBFCMS)

The necessity to use various tools – instructional media and technology for effective teaching using combined overlap block fuzzy cognitive maps (COBFCMS) defined by W.B. Vasantha Kandaswamy is analyzed in this paper. The combined overlap block FCM’s defined in this method become effective when the number of concepts can be grouped and are large in numbrs. In this paper we have analyzed the var...

Exploring brain connectivity with two-dimensional maps

We present and compare two low-dimensional representations, 2D point and 2D path, for tractography datasets. The goal is to facilitate the exploration of dense tractograms by reducing visual complexity both in static representation and during interaction. The proposed planar maps have desirable properties such as visual clarity, ease of tract-of-interest selection, and multiscale hierarchy. The...

Extended Fuzzy Cognitive Maps

Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) have been proposed to represent causal reasoning by using numeric processing. They graphically represent uncertain causal reasoning. In the resonant states, there emerges a limit cycle or a hidden pattern, which is a FCM inference. However, there are some shortcomings concerned with knowledge representation in the conventional FCMs. In this paper, we propose Extended...

FUCOMA: Fuzzy Cognitive Maps

The information abstracted by humans and quite complex processes, are usually imprecise or approximate. The adopted modelling strategy is usually imprecise in nature, with no or partial knowledge of the problem, and generally expressed in linguistic terms. Thus, the use of Fuzzy Logic can help solving the ambiguities and vagueness usually faced in this kind of problems. Soft computing technique...
